Products launched before 28 June 2025 are not affected by the law.

They may be sold until stocks are exhausted (i.e. indefinitely).

There is therefore no need to make a declaration of non-compliance.

Please note: you must submit a declaration of non-compliance if

• you modify the product after this date (new version, new series, technical change),
• you introduce a new batch of the product after this date,
• you re-place the product on the market after this date.

The special case of self-service terminals

Self-service terminals used before 28 June 2025 to provide services may continue to be used for up to 20 years after their commissioning. This transition period should allow

• product operators (you) to bring the existing model into compliance or replace it with a compliant model.
• service providers (your customers) to plan the work required to adapt or replace the model used.

Example:

A bank commissioned one of your cash dispensers on 1 March 2007.

It can therefore continue to operate it until 1 March 2027, even if it is not compliant.

If the bank wishes to continue offering cash withdrawals beyond the transition period, it must adapt or replace the existing ATM by 2 March 2027.
